A Bit About Me

Hi, my name is Yuchun Li, I'm a 3D generalist with a huge passion for indie game development. Recently I finished my first indie game as my thesis project, it's called 'The Flying Feathers', it's a first-person narrative game. I love telling a story through the games, I think the game is a really great medium for telling a story, it makes players experience the story instead of being an outsider. As a 3D generalist, I'm capable of doing environment modeling, character animation, and lighting; as an indie game developer, I can do C++ programming and level design.

When I'm not working, I like playing and reviewing video games and studying them, so as to better complete my work. Also, I love spending time with my cat Peipei, who is the sweetest cat in the world.

Contributed to the production of the animated thesis film 'Renao,' utilizing Maya to create character lighting and Unreal Engine 4 for real-time scene lighting.

Conceptualized, developed, and produced 'The Flying Feathers,' a captivating first-person narrative game. Leveraging my skills in Maya, I proficiently handled environment and character modeling, lighting, and animation to create immersive environments and lifelike characters. Additionally, I utilized both Unreal Engine and Unity Engine to expertly manage rendering and gameplay programming, ensuring a seamless and engaging player experience.

'The Flying Feathers' is a testament to my creativity, technical proficiency, and dedication to delivering high-quality gaming experiences. Its successful launch on Steam which has resulted in overwhelmingly positive reviews.
